We got to explore earthworms today on the courtyard, most of the children enjoyed handling them.

We started off the month with birthdays and kept it going.

Music on the Big Playground

Lining up before walking safely to the Big playground and then watching Miss Sally

The Nursery Rhyme is ‘Jack and Jill’, the shape is square and the color is brown. We will also focus on families and being thankful. Here are a few pictures from October.

Our Halloween party!~~!

Teeny Tiny Farm

The children were so excited to meet all of the animals that came to visit.

We also got to enjoy some apple juice and donut holes :)

We lined up and then practiced walking on the yellow line to come back in.

First month done, on to Fall

We all survived September, now on to Fall. For October the color is orange and the shape is circle. The Nursery Rhyme Is ‘Hickory Dickory Dock’. We are trying to spend as much time outside as we can while the weather is good.

We do quite a bit of singing during the day and besides the ABC’s and Nursery Rhymes I am sharing a few favorites that you may or may not know.

When washing hands: (tops and bottoms of hands, then in between fingers)

Tops and bottoms, Tops and bottoms

In between, In between

Rinse with lots of water,Rinse with lots of water

Now they're clean, Now they're clean

When cleaning up:

Clean up clean up, everybody everywhere

Clean up clean up everybody do their share

Before snack: (with hand motions)

Open shut them, open shut them give a little clap, clap, clap

Open shut them, open shut them put them in your lap, lap, lap

Creep them crawl them, creep them crawl them, right up to your chin, chin, chin

Open wide your little mouth but do not let them in, in, in

Blessing before we eat snack:

God our Father, God our Father, Once again, once again

We will ask your blessing, we will ask your blessing

Amen, Amen

Bumblebee song (may be a little different from the one you used to sing as we thought licking and throwing up the bumblebee might not be appropriate :)

(catch a 'bee' buzzing around in your hands)

I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee, won't my mama be so proud of me, I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee OUCH, it stung me

I'm squishing up my baby bumblebee, won't my mama be so proud of me, I'm squishing up my baby bumblebee EWWW, it's messy

I'm wiping off my baby bumblebee, won't my mama be so proud of me, I'm wiping off my baby bumblebee OH all clean

These are just a few to start, if your child is singing something at home that you do not quite understand, please let us know and we will be happy to share what it is.

First week of school

What a fantastic start! This month will will focus on the color yellow and the shape, star. The Nursery Rhyme is ‘Twinkle, Twinkle’. Here is a glimpse of some of the fun we had.

Water, water everywhere

Eventhough it was not super sunny we still had a fantastic day with water.

April- fun with worms, mixing colors and a little sun

Most of the children really enjoyed playing with the worms, we did not torture them too long and then let them go in the Big playground garden a few days later.

Mixing colors like in the book "Mix It Up" and "Mouse Paint"

Sunny Day, The Big playground and setting the worms free!
