Our Curriculum

Our school utilizes the Creative Curriculum by Teaching Stratagies as a curriculum resource. The curriculum is designed to foster children's social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language development, as well as enhance learning in literacy, math, social studies and the arts. Our educational environment is play based and child led to encourage independent thinking and interaction. By adopting this approach, the children develop self-esteem, regulation skills and learn to love learning! Each child at FPP is provided with a space that allows for open exploring and questioning and the children are encouraged to express themselves freely, adding value to who they are and how they can find their place in our world.

Each week, the children enjoy special activities during the school day including, art class, music class and Pop, Hop and Rock, a unique approach to movement in early childhood. Our Pre-K and JK classes attend weekly chapel with our First Presbyterian Church staff where their faith is nurtured in an age appropriate setting.
